A MAN WHO BARED HIS OWN CROSS
Hasdrubal Orfelli
I will not talk about Jesus Christ , I am talking about a man who suffered, a man who was been through extreme pain , a man who paid with his sacrifices more than the price for being a national hero ,this man was not a warior but he was a knight armed with a fragile but deadly weapon a pen ,facing the repressive machines lonesome, using pieces of cellulose as the only defensive armour against the suppressive Arab Herods.
Our Libyan hero called El Mahroog.S.Sifaw born 18th April 1946 in Jado village-inhabited by Amazighophones*- in mountians of Nefusa , after the graduation from the high school he studied medicine but he discovered his tendency towards the humanities so he immediately headed to study law and got the licence in the law in 1972 ,he writes in the fields of :poetry especially prose , novels , studies.
He started to publish in 1961 among the newspapers and magazines of : al Maydan, al Rwad, al Gabal , al Fossol al arbaa , Torath al shaab.
In 1979 he was aimed as the next victim of the dictator who is ruling our home while he was walking on the side walk a speeding car was sent from hell to put out torche but it failed because it was not the well of God to put out this light,he continued writting he did not know the meaning of surrender inspite of devil.
And here are some of his production in Tmazight Berber language and Arabic:
Sokoot al taareef or the fall of identification.
Ashaar katemah lil sawt or mute* poems.
Aswat montasaf al leel or the voices of midnight.
These some of the Arabic works.

There are more inveted production of Said Sifaw that did not see the light yet , a story called is it forgetfullness? ,and a poem called the only wakeful.
And here is a translation of part of his poem an al shai alathi yohemoni:
"1”
All that I wrote or that erased
Did not free my tongue
All that..
I told the human about
And the devil
The moment that I spelt...
Still can not free me from a lump in the throat or..
Or acomma in the silence..
………..
………..
like any man
cheers him,the truth,beginning of spring
a thruth , the scent of roses
refreshes me,or the ports of beaches and gulfs
the beauty amazes me just like
it scares me
my heart jumps,or its lost
..then my gentle question answers me:
why don’t you write a verse about that thruth that you like?
I tell myself all of these things ...don’t understand me!
"2”
In one of those cafee shops that I lead
My friend who is outflowing of activity, chewing to me
The last lie or the last joke manifested by the politicians
While my other friend who is charmed of peotry, the story, the novel
Swearing by heaven several times
That what is worshiped is the intention.
Libyans lost him in the in the in 28th of July 1994 he died due to that wild murder after suffering enough R.I.P Libyans will never forget you.
