SalamoAlaikom,
Je suis nouveau sur ce forum at j'aimerai bien savoir s'il y'a des liens pour "download" musique de Rouicha et Cherifa. Je vous remerci tous, and execuse my French please.
I am after some very old Rouicha music dating back to the late 70's and early 80's. I can't seem to find tapes nor CD's of such music even f'l'maghreb. If anyone knows where I could get them I'd be very greatful.
Salam.

it's very tough to get the oldies of Rouicha. You have to be a friend of Rouicha to get access to these songs. I once asked him about that and he said that he wants to keep this out of mercantile business. This is a way to preserv its myth too. All these oldies stem from Hamou Oulyazid and Rouicha pays tribute to this great man of amazigh song.
I got some recordings through my friends living in Khenifra

Hmmmm, sounds complicated!!
So I take it you're a friend of his!!? If so I'm sure you could pull a few strings and get him to release a few.:D
What about any other of his music? do you know of any good web sites?? I manage to download a few using Emule and bitttorrent but there weren't many choices unfortunately.
There were plenty of his cassetes that circulate from hand to hand and that has never been realsed. especially those he used to record with friends in private ceremonies while drinking and chating.
I have some that I can share with you provided that you live the same city as I, which is most unlikely.
But will put some onto my website www.tinejdad.com very soon so as any body can listen to it. I already have some very fine meadle-atlas music on it. please check it out

That would be great and may I say that you're an absoulte angel..Jazaak Allaaho 5airan.
BTW, where abouts do u live, and where are you from if you don't mind me asking.
I absolutely love his music, most of the times I can't figure out what he says without the help of family members who understand shel7a well.
I used to listen to him as a kid when getting in my dad's car, and still do so ever since.
I live south of france. and from Tnighir region in south-east morocco, somewhere between mountains and sahara desert.
However I do not really feel Chrifa being the best amazigh female singer. There is the great Tamhaoucht whose voice is outstanding with really magic Tamawayat

Cherifa is not too bad I guess..except the fact that there seem to be a bit of arrogance in her performance. I hope she's not in her real life tho', that would be a real shame.
BTW, I am from Casa myself but my parents are from Beni Mellal region (afourer). I remember people taking the mickey out of my shel7a everytime I tried to spaek it whilst during my stay there...That never stopped me from trying however.
Where in south of France?

several times. We even had together a cup of tea at a cafe in Amalou nIghribn in the vicinity of Khenifra. I met him several times while performing in wedding ceremonies in Midelt and Tinejdad
